Articles | A Clubbers Paradise
With its clubbing heritage stretching back thirty years and an eclectic mix of top clubs, Ibiza is the premier destination for clubbers wanting to enjoy the ultimate experience. On the music front there’s something for everyone, with hip hop, techo, electro, r’n’b and many other genres all played in different clubs, Ibiza attracts one of the most diverse collection of tourists.
The Clubs – The main reason for a visit to Ibiza is obviously the fantastic clubs on the island such as Cafe Del Mar, built in 1980 and still going strong, its selling point is the idea of sitting and watching the sunset whilst the house dj plays a mix of chillout songs. Cafe del Mar was at the forefront of the chillout genre’s emergence in 1994 and 14 years later, and following several successful album releases, it’s still the epitomy of Ibiza. Scores of clubbers talk of the euphoric feeling of watching the sun disappear as you listen to the relaxing music and is an experience not to be missed for love nor money on Ibiza holidays. As far as the big clubs go, Pacha is the most popular with Privilege, Mambo, Kanya and Savannah close behind to headline for the Island’s big, brash clubbing destinations.
Accommodation – Ibiza has the usual mix of expensive, affordable and cheap, from hotels to villas, there’s something to suit every budget. Many hotels come with air conditioning as standard and you’ll want to book early to avoid your desired hotel being booked up and to save money, booking at the start of the year can gift you with some incredibly cheap deals, otherwise booking last minute is good. With Ibiza being expensive you’ll want to ensure that you get the best deal for your money, so don’t be afraid to shop around for a few days and price-compare so that you don’t end up missing out. Villas aren’t always more expensive and are well worth a look, a six person villa in the San Juan area will cost around £1200 for a week’s stay, making it only £200 a week per person, and for the added comfort of a villa it’s well worth the investment. Broaden your search and you’ll get a good deal.
Flights – It really goes without saying but far too many people don’t book flights early enough and, therefore, miss out on cheap deals. Keep an eye on budget airline websites to catch their sales and latest offers, cheap flights to Ibiza are quite common due to the island’s immense popularity and companies such as Monarch offer special deals.
